I like how the new popular joke format for comedians is to begin with “I like how…”
It’s the new “What is the deal with?”
It’s used to point out an absurdity. For example: “I like how poor people ride their bikes against traffic.”
“I like how every female isn’t aware I exist and if she is aware, she wishes it weren’t so.”
As you can see, “I like how” is not really an endorsement of what follows it; just as this Post does not endorse the phrase “I like how.”
When learning how to write essays, we were taught to remove “I think” and “I believe” because it weakens the statement. Let the statement stand on its own as a ‘truth’ — besides, it’s understood that ‘you’ believe your statement, because you are the author…
Anyhoo, the important thing is that a lot of young people are gaining confidence that other people care what they have to say, and are wearing teeshirts and sharing their “likes” with crowds of like-minded peeps.
Whoo, sorry; I’ve been to a stream of open-mics the past few weeks.
