I came upon the Eiffel Tower at sunset. I gazed at it from afar and walked towards it. Magnifique! Alas, at nighttime, you are only given access to the first 2 landings; the top is off-limits. During the day, you can climb, at no charge, to the first 2 landings; and pay to reach the top. I was very impressed by this structure. A nice surprise was the razzling light display that “goes off” every half hour.
I sketched this at dusk. The photo of this sketch excluses the foreground. Someday I will properly scan my drawings. Or, perhaps re-draw so that I can achieve higher quality.

Looks like you had a better time in Paris than I did…I was only 19 yrs old…and far from sophisticated! Those Parisians can be harsh…especially towards bad fashion statements (ripped jeans with penny loafers-yikes!)
