In the past month, a big change has happened: I made time to work on the Bit Tracker and then I made it an obsession. I poured LOTS of brain power and man power into the project.
Now I’m finally getting results. I have turned the corner. I changed the name because “anything” “2000″ is hilarious, and we have to keep our perspective about this–it is by and for comedians.
I have reserved the domain names: BitTracker2000.com and TheBitTracker.com
I have been using it ‘for real’ since yesterday. I set up an account for my friend Jim Coughlin. He is a comic who has more than a thousand sets under his belt, and dozens of notebooks of bits. It was his warm welcoming of the idea (and of me on his couch) that made me pledge to follow-through with the plan. He’s also provided some important requests: such as using minutes:seconds instead of decimal minutes.
I’m going to open up the site to a few more VIPs… I have to produce some help guides (video, glossary) and then I’ll launch Memorial Day. If you know of any performers who want to track their bits, pass on their info to me.
Above is a screen shot of the Opening page after login. It shows some aggregate info, and important news such as Upcoming and Most Recent Sets.
