My JFK Theory

It’s been 20 years since the Berlin Wall became moot. That’s why my previous post has a YouTube clip (which I made from a YouTube documentary) of that amazing first night.

Speaking of Berlin, I had a theory about JFK’s killer being an angry German grammar teacher who was offended by the President’s proclamation of being a “jelly donut.” But it turns out that Kennedy perfectly delivered the line. See…

In Berlin there is a shopping pavilion, “Sony Center.” It is a marvelous new 3 story building and courtyard.

Outside, after exiting from a different side, I noticed this big Lego Giraffe. There is a museum of Lego exhibits, but I decided not to pay 5 euro (6.4 bucks) to get in.

When I was in the Sony store, I saw this Spider Man crouched in front of the 3rd floor window.

A sign for Bob the Builder. Notice how the letters in his name for “Builder” are different. That’s because it is written in German.

Escaping a Bad Economy

I was planning to go to the Technique Museum to see some inventions and designs. I stopped at Checkpoint Charlie because of my sister Clyde’s suggestion. It turns out that this museum chronicles many interesting techniques!

This chemist didn’t just escape:: he patented his submarine, and scored chicks!

The above musician saved his wife by storing her in a stereo / amplifier.
This grinning family got through the easy way. Clyde and Christine were in Berlin when the wall came down! It’s a great photo. I’ll find the original or you should… because the looks on the faces of the family… real shot in the arm!

We have done it before, and we must do it again. Kudos to the ingenious Berliners who escaped or helped people escape the Communist East. It’s hard to imagine a worse economy than our present one, but Cold War East Europe was the pits. So much invention and good will came out of the efforts to liberate those left behind. There was the 28 year old chemist who created a mini-submarine to propel him through the Baltic Sea. There were many tricked-out automobiles to conceal passengers. And much tunneling.

The hard hard times in which we find ourselves. We can find a way out. Now is an opportunity to THINK AND BUILD!

The man John P. Ireland was from New England (Mass) and he re-enlisted in the Army after the war. He and a friend helped people escape. His cover was as an eccentric antiques collector. He’d drive through in his Cadillac.

I took the above photo in the Reichstag / Parliament.

I think the above photo is famous.
