My First Ben Franklin

A hundred bucks? No. My first quote in the Ben Franklin style (what are those nuggets called?)

To document is not enough. Investigate! Investigate! Investigate! Then you will have answers as well as evidence.

Well; he might have such an idea but would write in a concise; witty style.

Happy Father’s Day

In honor of all Dad’s, here is my grille, on which you see some burgers (beef and fake veggie) I made on Memorial Day.

Special honor to Tim Russert. His wasn’t my favorite Sunday TV program (that would be the light and hearty CBS Sunday Morning) but he was an awesome news guy who added a lot to NBC’s political reporting. I’ll miss him and was very upset at the news of his death.

Rethinking My Attitude

As you may know, I suffer from the Myers-Briggs INFP.

Lately I’ve been making efforts to be less introverted. Then yesterday I thought of a justification for striving towards extroversion. Y’know that expression: “I’ll sleep when I’m dead?”

Welp, along those lines: “There’ll be plenty of time to be an introvert when I’m dead.”

Engage the world while you can!

What Kind of Pizza Place Would You Own?

We all love pizza. And we all are familiar with the many types of establishments offering pizza. Each of us has a list of local pizza places which he or she can describe. Here are some ‘tags’ off the top of my head:
cheap, awful, excellent, great sauce, terrible crust, scrimps on toppings, canned sauce, processed cheese, take-out only, only eat when drunk…

But if YOU were to own a pizza establishment, what kind of pizza would it serve?

I think this is a quick way to learn about what you want to give to the world, and what you expect back from it. And shouldn’t our values and beliefs be intertwined with any business we operate?

There’s plenty of crappy pizza joints. Maybe their owners have no sense of taste, or maybe they find it more profitable to serve bad pizza.
What would you serve?

Welcome to The Bit Tracker 2000!!!

In the past month, a big change has happened: I made time to work on the Bit Tracker and then I made it an obsession. I poured LOTS of brain power and man power into the project.

Now I’m finally getting results. I have turned the corner. I changed the name because “anything” “2000″ is hilarious, and we have to keep our perspective about this–it is by and for comedians.

I have reserved the domain names: BitTracker2000.com and TheBitTracker.com

I have been using it ‘for real’ since yesterday. I set up an account for my friend Jim Coughlin. He is a comic who has more than a thousand sets under his belt, and dozens of notebooks of bits. It was his warm welcoming of the idea (and of me on his couch) that made me pledge to follow-through with the plan. He’s also provided some important requests: such as using minutes:seconds instead of decimal minutes.

I’m going to open up the site to a few more VIPs… I have to produce some help guides (video, glossary) and then I’ll launch Memorial Day. If you know of any performers who want to track their bits, pass on their info to me.

Above is a screen shot of the Opening page after login. It shows some aggregate info, and important news such as Upcoming and Most Recent Sets.
